The event was organized and presented on stage by Chantal Desloges, refugee and immigration lawyer. Mr Jason Kenney, Canada’s Minister of Employment and Social Development and Minister for Multiculturalism, honored the event with his presence and spoke on behalf of the Government of Canada. This event was preceded by a closed group meet and greet hour which saw the presence the Richmond Hill Member of Parliament Costas Menegakis, the Don Valley Member of Parliament Joe Daniel, the Federal nominee for Mississauga Centre Tim Iqbal, President and Founder of One Free World International Majed El Shafie, and Canadian Politician of Mississauga Brad Butt, to name a few.
