RACDO Canada is an independent, volunteer based, non-profit organization established by a group of development activists in 2004 in Canada. Our mission is to work with people affected by poverty and distress to create equal rights and positive changes through empowering communities, especially those most marginalized such as women and children. RACDO Canada also has international networks in the form of RACDO Pakistan, registered in 1994.

RACDO attributes its name to Choudhry Rehmat Ali, who was one of the earliest proponents of the creation of the state of Pakistan. He is credited with creating the name "Pakistan" for a separate homeland in South Asia and is generally known as the founder of the movement for its creation. He is best known as the author of a famous 1933 pamphlet entitled "Now or Never; Are We to Live or Perish Forever", also known as the Pakistan Declaration.

RACDO Canada has a board of directors that is elected annually at a constituency meeting. We use our resources effectively. RACDO Canada has initially partnered with RACDO Pakistan supporting community service projects in primary health care, provision of safe drinking water, formal and non-formal education focused on girls’ education, poverty alleviation and disaster relief response.

RACDO Canada is committed to serve people without regard to their racial, ethnic, religious and political persuasion. We are determined to make partnerships, networks and alliances with other experts and counterparts to support sustainable improvements in the lives of the poor, especially vulnerable section of population as women, girls and children. We rely heavily on our team of dedicated volunteers to provide assistance on a variety of levels.
